WOODLAND MANAGEMENT

This beginner-friendly evening workshop is perfect for anyone curious about our native wildflowers. Whether you're just starting out or simply want to deepen your connection with the plants around you, you’ll learn how to confidently identify a variety of species in a relaxed, supportive setting.
SHRINK POT COURSE
Saturday 16th August
Spend a summer's day in our beautiful Woodland Hall learning woodwork techniques to make your own shrink pot on this training course in the Hampshire South Downs. Our tutor, Chris Matthews, will teach you how to use traditional hand tools to carve your own pot from locally grown wood.
BUSHCRAFT DAYS ONE & TWO
Thursday 28th and/or Friday 29th August
Join bushcraft expert Nick Ward for two flexible days of hands-on training, perfect for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their outdoor skills. Choose a single day that suits you, or dive deeper with both days and enjoy a £20 discount. SPOON CARVING
Saturday 30th August
Discover the art of wood carving in the heart of the Hampshire South Downs. Under the guidance of experienced tutor Jonathan Huet, you’ll learn to craft a spoon, spatula and butter knife using traditional tools like a knife, saw, crook knife and axe. Working with locally harvested green wood, this hands-on course offers a rewarding introduction to the timeless skill of whittling.
FORAGING, FIRE & FOLKLORE
Wednesday 3rd September
Join us for a magical evening of wild food foraging, a Celtic Fire Ceremony and rich folklore with bushcraft and Celtic specialist Jonathon Huet. Immerse yourself in ancient traditions, connect with nature and discover the stories and skills that have been passed down through generations.
