Folk in the Forest Returns: Music, Ale and Magic Among the Trees
The return of Folk in the Forest is now only two weeks away — an evening that blends soul-stirring folk music, locally brewed ales and the raw beauty of the woodland.
Mark your calendar. Rally your friends. Dig out that trusty fold-up chair. This is the kind of night that stays with you long after the last chord rings out.

The Music, The Vibe, The Woodland Hall
Step into the Woodland Hall, our open-sided, round wood venue nestled right in the heart of the forest. As the sun begins to set, the trees become silhouettes, the string lights glow and the first notes of live folk music float through the air. This isn’t just another gig — it’s an experience.
With a line-up of talented folk musicians, the night promises toe-tapping, hand-clapping, heart-filling music. Bring your dancing shoes… or at least some sturdy boots.
Hosted by the Unmistakable Jeff Lane
Back by popular demand — Jeff Lane returns as organiser and compère. Known for his trademark charm and wit, Jeff will guide us through the night, introducing each act with the warmth and flair only he can deliver. Honestly, what more could one want?
The Drinks, The Snacks, The Atmosphere
A fully stocked Real Ale bar will be serving up pints of local goodness — no plastic cups here, just hearty brews and warm smiles. There will also be other drinks and light snacks available. Please note: no outside alcohol is allowed at this event.
Pro tip: Arrive early to grab a drink and settle in before the music begins.
What to Bring
We’ve got the atmosphere and the music covered. You just need to bring:
- A folding chair (the venue is covered, but seating is limited)
- A jacket or blanket (we’re in the woods, after all)
- Your best festival spirit, of course.
A Night for a Good Cause
Folk in the Forest isn’t just about great music — it’s also a fundraiser for The Sustainability Centre. Every ticket, every pint, every cheer helps us continue our work promoting sustainability, education and nature connection.
We’re proud to say that all our musicians, organisers and volunteers are generously donating their time and talent to support the cause.
